A hefty mystery with a slow burn and a bit of predictability but it's well written and I look forward to continuing with the characters.

Procedural detective about a cop determined to find the killer of her sister who was killed over ten years ago and her efforts to solve the crime even out of her jurisdiction. Good action sequences but too formulaic for me and too "gun happy". Not one I would recommend.

My first reading of a book by Dugoni and I really moved through it quickly. Well developed characters, an intriguing plot and enough suspense to keep the pages turning quickly. Plus, I enjoyed that the book was set in the Pacific NW. I will seek this author again.

I felt the plot to be too unrealistic (even for a work of fiction), and the main protagonist Tracy is just one of many dysfunctional, emotional, and guilt-ridden leading female crime solvers that appear all too often.

Tracy Crosswhite has just become one of my favorite female detectives. My Sister's Grave is a cleverly plotted legal thriller with well-drawn characters and a highly competent female protagonist. A few of the childhood flashbacks were unnecessary but didn't seriously detract from a very compelling read.

This is one of the best novel
I read in a long time. The follow up "HER FINAL BREATH" is as good or better. These two books should be read in order.
Enjoy

This would make a great "airplane" book. Det. Tracy Crosswhite's sister disappeared 20 years ago. Now the body is found & she wonders if they put the right guy in prison.
There are flashback chapters detailing the sisters' childhood & how Sarah went missing. Tracy investigates with Dan O'Leary, an old school friend she reconnects with.
Honestly, I could have done without the childhood scenes. They don't really add anything to the story (they're a bit treacly & we know Tracy misses her sister) & the present is much more interesting. Last quarter is a full on thriller with lots of suspense in an atmospheric setting.
