Real cute of Germans as "technical advisors" for US GI's against Soviet Union or President Truman learning of a secret weapon Stalin feared.

While the romances do slow the story down somewhat, this book is still a clever and gripping depiction of how World War III could have easily unfolded following Hitler's defeat.

ww II if Stalin had decided to over reach and grab as much land as he could ignoring previous agreements.

The alternative history is interesting, but the two romances just slow the story down.
