I was disappointed in this book. I was grabbed by the first couple of pages which is always good and then everything changed. The writing seemed awkward at times. There were many run-on sentences which required me to re-read a section more than once to make any sense of it. Compared to other Catherine Coulter books I've read I would say someone else had written this book. The pace was slow with a lot of filler which didn't add to the characters or the plot. I would hesitate to read others in this series based on this book alone.
I enjoyed the book and the plot was interesting. However, there was far too much info about sports, which bored me, plus I found 90% of the sports stuff completely unnecessary for character or plot development, so just a bunch of filler.
And I agree with Toox's comment that if you haven't read other books in the series, there's little done to provide readers with continuing characters' backstory.
Bit of a slow start, and took a while to understand the back stories of the characters as I haven't read the other books in the series. But once it got going it was ok. Not sure I would read the other books in the series, though.
I always enjoy her books, it was a little slower but still enjoyable.
I found this one a little slow
Another great read from Catherine Coulter. This book is a page turner from start to finish. Lots of intrigue. I really enjoy reading every one of her books.
