I only read (or reread) a few of these since most of the collection was already familiar to me. "All Seated on the Ground," a story about aliens and Christmas carols, among other things, is a lot of fun, and the speeches are well worth reading.

The e-version of this book, at least, had three speeches by Willis appended at the end after the short stories. Her editor's introduction said that they would make readers cry; she was correct!
