When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home. Except there's something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she'll turn to dust if he touches her. It's not until Dez's father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there's more to this boy-- and her father's "law firm"-- than she realized.

This book could have been good....maybe. However the main character Dez ruined the entire thing for me. Her immature snarky attitude was way over the top. The insta-love and trust with Kale was ridiculous. Speaking of Kale, (the boyfriend), he had about as much personality as a rock. Actually, that might be insulting to rocks. I apologize to all the rocks out there that I have just insulted. I am pretty sure they have more personality than he did. Anyway, this book felt rushed. I think it had potential, but by the end of the book I despised the character Dez so much that it was all I could think about.

The people in the book are called sixs because they have powers such as death touch. the girl and the boy gets into a heap load of trouble because they are sixs. the girls dads "law firm" IS REALLY A bad place to hold sixs such as her mom. the end
