Let's face it - This TV Western from the mid-1960s certainly could've been a whole lot better._____ Not only did I find that the scripts were often really weak and the stories borderline stupid and ludicrous, but the episodes (at an hour in length) were just too long and dragged-out to hold my undivided attention._____ Not only that, but I also found that I took a somewhat strong disliking toward actor Robert Conrad who played Federal Agent, James West._____ At best, Conrad was only a mediocre actor. And besides that, his West character (even though he was a pretty good brawler) was too much of a fop (with his immaculate, color-coordinated outfits) for my liking._____ Had Conrad's character been more of a rugged, cowboy-type dude (rather than a fashionable dandy), then, perhaps, The Wild, Wild West would've appealed to my sense of masculinity a whole lot more._____ Anyways, I can't give this TV show more than a 2.5 star-rating since (as far as TV Westerns go) it fell too short of my expectations far too often.
