Hung Out to DieLarge Print - 2006 | Center Point large print ed.
One of the big obstacles laundromat owner Josie Toadfern has had to overcome in her life was her parents leaving her in the care of an orphanage. The Toadfern clan has always treated her as an outsider, so when she's invited to their annual reunion, she's too shocked to decline. At the reunion she realizes that the family matriach, cranky Mamaw Toadfern, wants to make amends. And just as Josie is starting to relax, her long-lost parents show up. They're living the high life as a result of lucrative, but illegal real estate transactions. The rest of the Toadferns -- particularly Uncle Fenwick -- want nothing to do with the pair, so when Josie later finds Fenwick's corpse, all signs point to Josie's own father as the murderer. Now Josie must track a killer while trying to untangle old family feuds that could land even more of her relatives in jail -- or in the morgue.
