A sheltered girl is tossed out on the street, and gets a short course in Victorian values. A working class friend (the always impressive teddy bear, Brendan Coyle) shows her the ropes, and eventually their relationship turns into something more. But what happens before they can get together is nobody's business. In fact, it is convoluted and far-fetched enough to damage the story. The end, when finally reached, is worth it, but jeez louise this couple has no luck.
