A raw, fictional documentary on Joaquin Phoenix's career transition from the acting world to a career as an aspiring rapper. Sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads. Defying expectations, it deftly explores notions of courage and creative reinvention, as well as the ramifications of a life spent in the public eye.

I think it was a great flick. How else can a star of Joaquin's calibre ridicule the movie "establishment" by doing something like this. Look good on Puff daddy or whatever he is now.

Ingenious in an Andy K way Nothing to wow, but it is real art in a world where art with commitment, integrity and the ability to recognize the wall your headed towards and crank up the velocity are lacking.

This movie was interesting, but strange at the same time. I am not sure if it was scripted or not, most likley it was. He was either very brave or stupid to put himself out there like that. He has a movie moving out in 2012, so it was as least, not a career ending move.

I must have missed the point of this movie. I thought it was totally boring and only watched about 20 minutes before turning it off.

At first I thought this was a documentary but nope, it's a scripted movie. It's like watching a celebrity plane crash, you can't look away. Interesting and crazy to think that many people think Joaquin actually wanted to start a rap career.

JP as he is called in the movie did this as a publicity stunt. Well, in my opinion, he wasted several years of his life to pull off this stunt and make this movie. In the process it's possible he ruined his acting career. Hopefully JP will make a successful return to acting.

Joaquin is the definition of an actor. For someone to put their career in danger and to be able to stand all of the public humiliation just for a movie is amazing. I have nothing but the utmost respect for this genius!
