I picked up this book purely for the incredible watercolour illustrations alone, and ended up almost getting more out of the accompanied prose. So much wisdom, and humour (especially in the beginning)! I recommend reading the afterword as well, because it chronicles the history of F.Scott Fitzgerald writing the novel, and the publics initial reaction to it, which is quite funny. You can just imagine people during that time period thinking he was a raving lunatic for coming up with such a ridiculous plot!

Blind Date With A Book comment: "I thoroughly enjoyed the totally different approach to the presentation i.e. comic/pictures tell the story."

It's odd to watch the movie then read the graphic novel. The movie begins with an infant-sized old man. This book begins with a full-grown octogenarian. I now need to read the original Fitzgerald story.

I read it in less than an hour.

Beautiful artwork, but a strange little tale. I think that I preferred the movie over this adaptation.
