The Long Run is a wonderful novel, a well-written look at the lives of young orphan boys in Newfoundland. Leo Furey does a superb job of bringing the reader into the experience of the narrator and his friends. i found this book because it was recommended by a Friend of NYPL and I in turn would recommend it highly. I laughed, I cried, and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
