Everything from re-wiring a lamp to how to make pancakes.

I would probably turn to the internet for the specific tasks mentioned in this book. However, it's nice to have so much in one book that you can browse at your leisure.

The chapters are short for each "how-to" like installing a toilet, basic wiring, wood working, mechanics projects etc...

Two specific things I got from the book are directions on how to install a dimmer from a regular light switch and a very good recipe for Blondie s (blondie s are brownies without the cocoa).
