Season Four of The Glades is packed with even more mystery, intrigue and fun from Florida's favorite homicide investigator- the disarmingly charming Detective Jim Longworth (Matt Passmore). From haunted plantations to rum-soaked shot girls and even a zombie apocalypse, Longworth is once again solving murders that can only happen in the Sunshine State. This season also promises more drama on the personal front for Longworth, Carlos, Colleen and Daniel as friends and relatives from near and far arrive on the scene. But the big question remains to be answered as Longworth waits for Callie to accept his marriage proposal...or not.

The fourth season of The Glades, also the last season, follows the usual procedures that Jim uses to solve murders. The formulaic episodes become predictable and boring. Not only that, apparently the writers were unaware that the series would be cancelled. For that reason the series ends with a macabre scene and leaves various storylines unresolved.

Season 4 of Glades uses the same formula as previous in seasons-- 1) Someone accidently discovers a murder victim in the opening act; 2) Jim Longworth has 3 suspects to choose from; 3) With the help of colleagues Carlos on forensics and Daniel on the computer, clever detective L. discovers motive and opportunity for every suspect; 4) After confronting each, he gets his murderer with irrefutable evidence! If you like this formula, you'll like this season. It's entertaining figuring out whodunit, but until the very last scene of the final episode, everything goes as planned. Though the last scene is also predictable, I found myself looking forward to the next season. Guess I like predictable!
