I usually struggle with romance novellas - they're just not long enough to make the relationship feel believable to me - but I thought this was a more successful effort than most, by virtue of the fact that the two main characters (Tobias and Genevieve) were former lovers who were getting a second chance, making their fast happy ending feel more likely to me. I enjoy second-chance-at-love stories, and this novella is loosely related to both James' Duchess Quartet and her Essex Sisters series, so look for a couple of familiar characters. Not as strong as her full-length novels, but still a pretty good story considering how short the novella is.
