I love vanilla. Too often categorized as "boring" or "plain", vanilla is exotic, invigorating, and addictive. However, for something so wonderful, there's not so many cookbooks devoted exclusively to this wonderful bean. Pure Vanilla is a beautiful cookbook. The food photography is superb. The recipes are on the higher end in terms of ingredients and complexity but not so much that the casual or weekend chef would be put off by them. There are great instructions for making your own vanilla extract and getting the most out of your vanilla beans. It's a lovely cookbook. Enjoy.
