Surprise! It's a blanket! (or pillow cover). There are some interesting designs in this pattern book and not only the standard granny square or chevron blanket. The only "unexpected" pattern that I really liked was called the Starbust Entrelac Afghan. It uses both Tunisian crochet and a crochet version of entrelac to form a large sun shaped blanket. I'm not a fan of Tunisian crochet, but if I were, I would definitely try this pattern. Worth a look if you've got a lot of babies on the way and want to try out some new techniques.

A wonderful pattern book! Most of the blankets are modern and easy to make! A great book that I would love to keep on my shelf.
