This was a fascinating book and I am sure there are many New Yorkers who do not know the history of the station. The connection to the Waldorf Astoria Hotel was interesting as I lived in Toronto, Ontario until 1996 and Union Station in…

This book was one of those finds that you locate on library shelves when you are hunting for something new to read. I was intrigued by the history aspect in a murder mystery. It was a good read, although I may have had my interest peaked…

Murder and a history of Grand Central. I wanted to skip work to finish the book so be careful when you commence reading. ( I went to work and finished book at end of day).

I normally love Fairsteins books, but this one is sub-par. The history part was good, but Alex is whiny, bitchy, and not at all like herself. Plus, they didn't handle the case well at all; there were many points they just missed, and were…

I love all of Linda Fairstein's books! I have learned a lot of history about New York city and especially would like to see Grand Central station after learning more about it. She writes in a way that makes you see it!

I'm with Debbie O - WHEN are Alex and Mike FINALLY going to quit playing around and 'hook up', as they say these days?! I enjoy the history, too, but some hot and heavy romance might wake up the series, which did lag a bit this time.

I have read all of Linda Fairsteins book. This one was disappointing, the plot mediocre and sometimes over the top. What I did appreciate was to learn more about NYC history.

not a great book. If I read a book by this author before, I don't remember, or it was a very long time ago. Didn't make me want to read more by her. The female DA was not very engaging. Her relationship with one of the NYPD homicide…

I enjoyed the history part, learned some things I never knew. Not her best, but a good read

Pedestrian and mediocre writing. The female protagonist is a smart 35ish prosecutor with at times the emotional maturity of a 16 year old.

This latest book, filled with more great New York history, really drew me in. However, I was put off by the increased use of obscenities Linda Fairstein put in her characters mouths. It puzzles me because her earlier books had a minimum…

Fairstein never disappoints. Between the rich history of NewYork City, the main characters being beautifully flawed, and original storylines within each addition of this series, these books always keep me riveted and hungry for more.

Looking foward to the next one! Left me wanting to know what's going to happen with two main characters, will they or won't they finally get together?..and how will it affect the cases they work on?
