Classic movie, for sure. Great Hepburn performance, naturally. Regarding Rooney's character, yes, it's offensive, but we shouldn't judge the past by today's moral standards. Back then it was acceptable; today it isn't. Live and learn. The…

I disliked this movie. It portrays women in a sexist way and it is also pretty racist. Audrey Hepburn is very beautiful and talented (and she shines here) but the movie is not very good.

I liked it when it came out. I still like it. Many movies today do not develop characters. These actors are strongly developed. And I love the Mancini music.

The characters were portrayed as two people prostituting themselves to the elite. For survival most people of modest means can relate to having to do the same in some form or another. Better than 99% of any movies you might watch, but…

I was drawn to this by the Moon River and the fact it was directed by Blake Edwards (Pink Panther). It's been billed as a romantic comedy, but that's misleading. There's almost nothing funny here, but once that's been cleared, I can sit…
Highly overrated by snobs. I agree completely with the classification "counterfeit classic", as
Born2Weed called it. Something like "classical music of the 20th century". Skip it, there are so many better movies out there.

Talented actors, but repulsive characters and disgusting story line. I kept hoping it would turn into something good, but it's a counterfeit classic. The only things worthwhile: seeing that New York City used to be a busy place with…

I hate to say this but movie seemed liked a dialed down 40 year old Virgin or American Pie with a lot more class. Both characters almost in the same profession. A MILF. Unbelievable secondary characters. Oh, wow. Adjustable bed that…

portrayal of an Asian man by a non-Asian actor, and made character out to be buck-toothed, loud, rude, and with a terrible accent is a classic demonstration of the era where they could not find a single Asian actor and be able to write the…

1962.. PG. Typical Hollywood romance movie of its time. If you watch very closely, its about A high end prostitute woman and a male prostitute "gigilo", both "servicing" their clients.
Hollywood was VERY careful about how both…

This is classic Audrey Hepburn! I have to admit that it took me several viewings before I fully understood the plot of the movie. However, Breakfast At Tiffany's is wonderfully romantic and funny. I loved everything about it; from her…
This was a film that I was reluctant to see, but I am glad I did. It has a great script - much more like a play than a Hollywood movie. The main character, Holly, as she is shown in the first part of the film has demented, I guestimate,…

Shallow and dated. Became annoyed at the halfway point because things just happened just because. The dialogue was awful, and nonstop. It got exhausting having every detail explained when it didn't need to, or was boring and unimportant.…

VERY GOOD 1961 romantic comedy (which I was too young to 'understand' when it came out).
Fine performances by Hepburn and Peppard. Excellent movie music by Hank Mancini (including lots of 'Moon River') - and whack bits by Mickey Rooney…
I saw this movie as a child, and I had a vaguely nice feeling about it and about Audrey Hepburn. It does not stand up when viewed again as an adult. The demeaning and racist portrayal of Holly Golightly's upstairs neighbour disgusted me…
