Join a weekly carving session with members from North Sound Woodcarvers. Everyone, from the most experienced to the newest carver, is welcome. Bring your own project for help and feedback, or simply walk-in and learn how to get started! While some supplies will be available, attendees are also encouraged to bring their own. Minors are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
About North Sound Woodcarvers
Their Mission:
In a positive and fun atmosphere, create carving related opportunities to carve together, learn skills, share skills, encourage people to become carvers and generally promote the art of wood carving.
What they are:
A group of wood carvers in the North Puget Sound area who want to socialize with people with similar interest, share the skills and knowledge of the art of wood carving, promote wood carving to bring in new members, and encourage people to carve. Once the size of the group of active members reaches 20 or more, we want to create a formal non-profit club. We want to participate in public events like street fairs, bazaars, special events and shows. As the group grows to sufficient size, we want to host or co-host carving shows and “spit and whittles”.
To request a sign language interpreter, complete this online form or contact your local library at least two weeks prior to the library event. Interpreters will be provided based on availability.
