Designed for novices and the fly fishing curious this presentation will introduce you to everything you need to get started. Discuss the basics of fly fishing and the gear required, as well as locations and season to pursue this sport on Whidbey Island and around Puget Sound, and get acquainted with the concepts of conservation and ethical angling. This program is a wonderful way to learn about one of the many ways to enjoy the natural beauty right outside your front door.
The Whidbey Island Fly Fishing Club (WIFFC), founded in 1992, is a social organization of almost 50 fly fishers, dedicated to providing our members with the resources they need to enjoy the sport of fly fishing, and working to protect our environment and educate the public on the importance of conservation of our resources.
