This month's book is Accordion Eulogies by Yakima author Noé Álvarez. He grew up with stories of his grandfather, an itinerant accordion-player who abandoned his family. In this memoir, Álvarez describes reckoning with the legacy of silence surrounding his family's migration from Mexico, his resolution to learn to play the accordion, and his journey to Mexico to discover the grandfather he never knew.
