Graphic Memoir: Food and Funny Business!

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Description

Join us for a workshop with Lara Kaminoff, author and artist of the graphic novel, How To Pick A Fight, and learn how to create your own comics!

This is part two of a three-part series. You don’t have to attend all parts as they are standalone workshops, but it is designed so you can get the best of the culminating experience if you can make it to all three!

In this comics crash course we will spelunk the caverns of memory and awaken to the stories unfolding in our everyday lives with the help of an active sketchbook practice, journaling exercises, writing prompts, and improv doodle downs. To express ourselves with greater clarity and impact, we will build our comic-making skills as we go, with a focus on setting the pace and capturing the vibe.
