6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Description

Join our guest Seconde Nimenya, an award-winning author who has written four books, including her latest book for teens and young adults, A Long Way to School. In this event, Seconde will discuss and inspire participants on how to overcome the challenges in school and their personal lives, suggest social skills needed to lead healthy and happy lives, as well as present successful leadership habits for the teen years and beyond. This program is for Teens and Adults.

Nimenya holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Burundi, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Canada, where she lived more than 10 years, before moving to the United States, where she received her MBA. And she blends her varied educational and cultural backgrounds to create dynamic presentations, using a unique approach that is both inspiring and empowering. Despite growing up without access to books, today Nimenya is an international award-winning author who believes in the power of education, in order to fulfill one’s full potential.
